However, there will be no rally in Delores Park and organisers are asking male allies to support the event from the sidelines as they have requested it continues to be the “self-identified dyke-only space”. The 30th annual Dyke March kicks off at Dolores Street & 18th Street at 5pm. In the afternoon, which is billed as fun for everyone, there’ll be drag performances and the Drag Performer Of The Year Contest (with a grand prize of $1,000). For the kids specifically in the morning there will be free photos with the fabulous Castro Unicorn, a petting zoo, and even a drag queen story-time and performance. The party promises to have something for the whole family. Organised by the Castro Merchants, the party kicks off at 11am on Noe Street & Market Street. The street march is about a 45-minute walk, beginning at Dolores Street and 18th Street and finishing at Turk & Taylor in Taylor Street. During late June, San Francisco Pride draws more than 1 million people to events like a parade and a festival that overtakes the Civic Center and city streets.
